Reactions, saves & shares

These three lightweight interactions live on every post and reply.

Reactions

Zeeker uses a reaction tray, not a binary like/upvote.

• Default reactions: a small set of expressive options picked to cover the same ground as "like" without forcing only positive sentiment.
• Custom reactions: tap the + to open the full reaction picker. Any single supported reaction is valid.
• A user can stack multiple distinct reactions on the same post; they cannot stack the same reaction twice.
• The post footer shows the top 3 reactions by count and a +N summary; tapping opens the full breakdown with who reacted with what.
• Reaction counts update in real time over a websocket connection.

Reaction trays fit the available choices without empty space at the end. While a popover is open, tapping outside it closes it without activating the post, link, or control underneath. Tap again to use that background control.

In the standalone Explore viewer on mobile, double-tap a story to add a heart reaction. The brief heart animation uses the same heart as the regular like button. Double-tapping an already liked story keeps the like in place; tap the heart button and choose the selected heart again to remove it.

Saves

• Tap the bookmark icon to save a post or reply to your private library.
• Saves are listed at zeeker.com/u/<your-username>?tab=saves and visible only to you.
• The save count on a post is visible only to the author.
• You can organize saves into folders (Settings → Saves). The default folder is All.

Shares

Three share modes, available from the share icon on every post:

1. Copy link

Copies https://zeeker.com/p/<id> to the clipboard. Includes a fragment with the focused reply if you share from inside a thread.

2. Native share sheet (mobile)

Triggers the OS share sheet on iOS/Android; falls back to Copy link elsewhere.

3. Share to a community

Cross-posts the post into a community you're a member of. The cross-post is a repost referring to the original, scoped to the target community.

Reposts

Reposts live alongside reactions/saves/shares but are part of Posts:

• A repost shows up on your timeline with a "<your-name> reposted" header.
• Reposting is idempotent — you cannot repost the same post twice. Tapping the button again undoes the repost.
• Quotes are a different action: see Posts → Repost vs quote.

Counters & real-time updates

All three counters (reactions, saves, shares) update in real time via the websocket connection at wss://api.zeeker.com/api/social/ws. The same channel powers reply-count increments.

Aggregation in the embed widget

When the same post is reached via the embed widget on a third-party site, the same reaction set is shown — there's no separate aggregation. A reaction added from the widget is visible on zeeker.com and vice versa.
