Moderation queue

The moderation queue is one centralized inbox for everything your moderators need to act on — across both zeeker.com/c/<slug> and the embed widget.

Element presets do not create separate Support, Reviews, Q&A, Polls, or Chat moderation products. Existing Social posts, replies, votes, and eligible chats keep their canonical moderation behavior wherever Embed presents them. Embed can narrow participation, but it cannot bypass or replace community/platform moderation.

Moderate group chat

Select a community, then choose Moderate group chat in the Moderation toolbar. This opens that community's group chat in Admin mode in a new tab. Moderators and higher roles can use the shortcut. Global moderation requires selecting a community first; the shortcut is unavailable when that community's group chat is disabled.

In Admin mode, use Hide message to replace a chat message with an italic placeholder. Its content also disappears from reply and conversation previews, including existing replies. Use Unhide message on a hidden message to restore it and its previews. These controls are unavailable in normal user mode. Chat checks your current community moderation permission for each action.

Tabs

Reports

User-filed reports on posts, replies, and members. Each row shows:

  • What was reported — post / reply preview, or member profile.
  • Reported by (anonymous to the offender; visible to mods).
  • Reason + optional reporter note.
  • Auto-classification — toxicity / spam / harassment scores from the platform classifier.
  • Quick actions: Remove, Lock thread, Ban member, Dismiss.

Reports are sorted by priority (auto-classified) by default; switch to newest or oldest from the header.

Auto-queued

Content automatically held by the platform before publication. Sources:

  • New accounts (< 24h old) when community has auto-hide low-reputation posts enabled.
  • High-toxicity classifier scores.
  • Banned-keyword matches.

The author sees their post in a "pending review" state on their own timeline; nobody else sees it until you approve.

Removed

A log of removed content with actor, target, reason, rule cited, and timestamp. Use this tab to:

  • Restore a removal if it was a mistake.
  • Audit moderator behavior.

Banned

Active bans with expiry dates and reasons. From here you can:

  • Unban early.
  • Extend a ban.
  • Convert a temporary ban to permanent.

Modlog

Every moderation action — removals, bans, role changes, settings changes, embed config changes — in one filterable list. Filter by:

  • Actor
  • Target (user / post)
  • Action type
  • Date range

Exportable to CSV.

Actions

Remove a post / reply

  • Pick a reason from the dropdown (rule-bound or free-text).
  • Optionally notify the author with the reason.
  • Optionally ban the author in the same step.

Removed content shows as [removed] in threads, preserving structure for replies underneath.

Lock a thread

Replies are disabled but reactions and saves keep working. Useful when a thread spirals but you don't want to delete the content.

Slow-mode a thread

Set a per-user cooldown (5s – 1h) so heated discussions cool off. Per-thread slow mode overrides the community default.

Ban a member

See Members → Removing a member.

Quick keyboard shortcuts

KeyAction
j / kNext / previous item in the queue
rRemove
bBan member
lLock thread
dDismiss report

Notifications

Moderators get a bell-icon notification when:

  • A new report enters the queue.
  • An auto-queued item exceeds the auto-publish threshold of toxicity (i.e. you should look at it now).
  • A platform-level action affects your community.

Configurable from Settings → Notifications in your Zeeker account.

Appeals

A banned or removed user can appeal from the in-app surface. Appeals show up in a sub-tab of Reports → Appeals. Each appeal:

  • Quotes the original removal / ban with rule citation.
  • Includes the user's note (≤ 280 chars).
  • Auto-closes after 14 days if not actioned.

Moderators can Uphold (no change), Reduce (e.g. permanent → 30-day), or Reverse (restore). All actions are logged.
